From any place of the city, the visitor can see the most beautiful postcard of Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer statue in the mountain of Corcovado located at 710 meters above the sea level and inaugurated in 1931.

I highly recommend Neyla as your guide in Rio de Janeiro. She is is ranked as one of the best guides in Rio on Tripadvisor (where I found her) and she made one of my dreams come true which was to visit the statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of the iconic structures in the world. You can choose either a set tour or a tour of our own needs. She was easy to get in touch with via email during the day and we managed to get up the Corcovador during a break in the weather. She was cheery, bright and funny, filled with information about anything that I wanted to know and an excellent English speaker.
